The Catt Box
Freebies & Samples!
We all love 'em, we all want 'em. And I'm going to tell you how to get 'em.
First of all, you won't have to take those stupid surveys and all the garbage they want you to deal with just to get a freebie for a sample.
I found a few sites that offer freebies and samples EVERY DAY. Sometimes you get lots of new ones listed each day, some times it's every few days. But I'm here to tell you, my boyfriend and I have been getting them on a steady basis for about a year and a half and we are amazed at the things we have received in the mail FREE.
Here's a few pictures of a huge tub I keep in my foyer. Keep this in mind, we've used WAY more freebies and samples as they came in, than what you see in this huge plastic tub. Seriously.
This is just the stuff we haven't gotten to yet.
This is nothing compared to all the tons of things Tom and I already used. Lots of food and cleaning products, etc. For a while Tom had to do a lot of traveling and those little free samples really came in handy for taking along in his suitcase.Tom hasn't had to buy body wash, shampoo, or even shaving cream since I've been here because he's using all freebies. Same with deodorant...we have so many cute little containers of deodorant. We have freebie hand creams everywhere, toothpaste, you name it.I've even gotten free journals and address books and even picture frames.
And, keep this in mind....just about every product I received ALSO came with a coupon to use in the store on my first purchase. Most of the time the coupons are good for a $1 off, or more.
Every bit of this stuff came right in the mail to me. I've never had to pay a single cent for postage, either.
This particular plastic bag holds all the laundry detergent. It's hard to tell from this picture, but there's enough free laundry detergent samples here to do my laundry for several months FREE.You can't believe the free samples I get...here's a list of all I can think of off the top of my head...shampoo, conditioner, lotions, picture frames, tampons, pads, shower gels, soaps, aspirin, hand lotion, shaving cream, razors, jewelry, fiber pills, antacids, full rolls of toilet paper, candy, styling stuff for hair, lots of men's stuff, food....things like snacks, cereal, energy bars, oatmeal, cream of wheat, hot chocolate, coffees, deodorants, keychains, tee shirts, little tote bags, lots of popcorn, trash bags, zippered plastic bags, cleaners, baby products, cat foods, cat treats, dog treats, dog food coupons for free bags, tea, floss, toothpaste, energy pills, mouthwash, make-up, eye creams, calendars, notepads, journals, vitamins, facial cleansers, fabric softener, garbage bags, etc.Oh, and recently the Dow company sent me a shower caddy for the Scrubbing Bubbles shower thingy. Can you believe it?It's fun to see what will arrive on any given day. And some things take a month or two to arrive, if not longer....and it's a surprise when it DOES show up. Other things are here in a few days. You never know. I love the 'surprise' of it all. And, of course, most places have a limited number of freebies to spend...first come first serve. So I try to check this place every morning and evening. One day the UPS delivered a heavy box. It was a freebie. The 7-Up company sent me three FREE cans of various flavors of 7-Up to try. And they were the full size cans.Another time I got a box from UPS and it was three small size bottles of hair products from SunSilk. Really cute.My point is, I can't imagine the money they spend on shipping. Some of these samples arrive UPS, FexEx, or USPS.
The name of my favorite free sample site is:
When you get there you'll see a list of freebie samples. Here's a screen shot in order to explain exactly what to do.
See the link that I have outlined in red? That's the link you need to click on in order to sign up for the freebie / sample. Each freebie sample has a link like that to click on. You'll know it when you see it. Don't click on any other surrounding links, unless you DO feel like filling out surveys and all that garbage. After all, this website makes it money by advertising. And other 'freebie' places advertise THEIR stuff, too...but you'll have to jump through THEIR hoops to get the freebies. No thanks.
Freegrabber presents only the freebies that don't require surveys and hoops to jump through. Some places, however, want you to join their site in order to get their freebie, but it's not a big deal. Just pick out an easy 'user name' and password and use the same ones for every place like that. That way it's easy to remember.
Just stick to the link that takes you to the sample and you'll be all set.
I haven't had Spam problems, you know, tons of unwanted email and ads, either. But if you want to, you can go to gmail and get an email account to use only with your freebies and samples. That way you won't have to deal with giving out your 'real' email address.
Another thing that helps. I have the Google toolbar installed. It has an 'autofill' feature. One click and most of your information is all filled in, like name and address, etc.
Also, most places will only allow one item per household. Since Tom and I don't live together, I sign myself up and then I sign Tom up. That way we get TWO samples. Still, we're abiding by the 'one per household rule'.
Also, when you get to freegrabber, you can scroll down to the next item. You'll also see a row of page numbers at the bottom of the page. It doesn't hurt to go through those pages and see if there are other freebies you can sign up for. Of course, some will have expired, but some are still available. The first time I ever went to freegrabber I signed up for EVERYTHING. It took me two days to go through all those pages.
Another tip. You will want to go here every day and sign up for the freebies. Some companies have a limited amount of items they'll give away. So, you want to make sure you get there as soon as you can. And you might want to check back a few times a day, just to see if new things have been added.
Tom and I get a freebie in the mail ALMOST every day. It's fun. And some days I can get as many as 4 or 6 different samples all showing up at the same time. I love those days!
I even sign up for things I no longer use or need, like baby products and feminine care. I pass them along to friends.
Another place I like to go to for freebies and samples is here:
When you get there you'll notice a long list of categories on the left.
Some of the categories have many pages of items for that one category. You'll see if there's more than one page at the bottom of the page. And just like with freegrabber, no surveys. I wouldn't give you any link that would annoy me OR you that way. I only bring the best to you!
And this surprises many people, but even Wal-Mart gives away free samples. Most of the time they are included on freegrabber, but just in case you haven't been to Wal-Mart's website:
Wal-Mart Freebies and Samples
Wal-Mart doesn't ask you to do surveys, either. And they usually change or add freebies and samples once or twice a month. Still, if you bookmark these websites, you might want to check each day.
If I find more freebie websites I'll be sure to put their link here for you to enjoy.
