This is another recipe
that wins blue ribbons for me. It's so easy it's unbelievable. It is also my
own recipe...more trial and error, but I finally got it. This is best served
with a dollop of whip cream or Cool Whip...I don't use icing on this cake. And
for being a cake made from scratch, you won't believe how moist it is...I made
sure of it.
Grease a Bundt pan.
Measure all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Blend spices into flour
mixture. Cut in shortening. Add remaining ingredients. Beat with mixer until
well blended...minute or two. Pour into Bundt pan and bake for about 55-60
minutes. Let cool for about 5 minutes, then remove from pan. Cake is wonderful
served warm or cool, but definitely with a dollop of whipped cream. Stand back
and be worshipped!
